Currently, the Department of Animal Services is unable to accept owner relinquishments due to the high volume of animals in their care. However, we encourage you to explore private rehoming options for your pet. Taking this step on your own ensures the best outcome for your beloved companion.

• Animal Services provides owner requested euthanasia services for pet owners residing in the unincorporated San Diego county area at a reduced cost of $40. This service does not include the option of being present during the euthanasia. We understand this is a difficult decision and are here to ensure a peaceful experience.
