Popular Adoptable Animals
This process is designed to ensure a fair and equitable opportunity when several people or families want to adopt the same animal. Popular animals may include highly sought-after animals such as puppies, kittens, purebreds, and others. We strive to provide a transparent and consistent method for everyone to have a chance to adopt these animals.
- Opportunity Drawing:
- Eligibility: Customers who are interested in adopting popular animals will be advised that they can come to the facility on the available date between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. to participate in the drawing.
- Ticket Distribution: Upon arrival, customers will receive one opportunity drawing ticket per animal, per family to ensure equal chances for each participant.
- Location: Customers are asked to remain in the lobby area to hear the announcement of the individual or family selected.
- Timeframe: At 9:45 a.m., an Animal Services greeter will announce the randomly selected ticket numbers for each animal.
- Verification:
- The number of the selected ticket will be announced promptly at 9:45 a.m. to ensure a smooth and timely process. The information of the person/family selected will be verified at that time.
- Adoption Process:
- Animal Interaction: The winner will be invited to interact with the animal. If they are satisfied with the match, they can move forward with the adoption process.
- In Case of Decline: If the person/family selected decides not to proceed with the adoption after interacting with the animal, a second ticket will be drawn from the same animal's opportunity drawing bucket to offer a second chance at adoption.
- Multiple Animals
for Adoption (if applicable):
- Separate opportunity drawings for Each Animal: If multiple popular animals are available on the same day, there will be separate opportunity drawings for each animal, allowing for a fair and organized process.
- Multiple Entries: Customers are allowed to enter multiple
drawings for different animals, as long as they follow the same
process of one ticket per animal per family. This ensures that
everyone has a fair opportunity to adopt their desired animal
without restricting their chances.
