We understand that surrendering your pet is a difficult decision. Currently, the Department of Animal Services is unable to accept owner relinquishments due to the high volume of animals in their care. However, we encourage you to explore private rehoming options for your pet. Taking this step on your own ensures the best outcome for your beloved companion.

• If your pet is suffering from a medical condition or is unsafe in the household, you may relinquish the animal for euthanasia after paying a $40 fee.
  
• Do NOT leave an animal outside the shelter when we are closed. This can be very dangerous to your pet.
